Makeup Application with Everyday Minerals

Curious about Everyday Minerals? Whether your a bare minerals user looking to save money, or someone thinking about trying mineral makeup for the first time, I think you'll be quite pleased with Everyday Minerals.

My last attempt to use mineral makeup ended in near disaster with an allergic reaction to bismuth oxychloride, an ingredient found in Bare Minerals, Sheer Cover, and Ulta Minerals.  So for a little while, I was back to my liquid foundation.  But last week, a great thing happened.  I got my free samples from Everyday Minerals.  Everyday Minerals makes bismuth free mineral makeup that even the most sensitive of skins (mine!) will not react to.  They let you pick out three foundations, one concealer, and one blush to try, you just pay shipping.  Of course, if you're like me, you'll probably buy a couple things while you're picking out foundation shades, but hey, it's really not that expensive, so why not?  I bought a brow color and two eyeshadows while I was there, my total cost (with shipping) was still under $11.  So enough talking, let's see some results!

Sans foundation, because I always need a reminder about why I wear makeup...

Apply moisturizer and lip balm (olay complete and softlips, as usual).

Begin foundation application.  In these pictures, I am using Every Day Minerals Foundation in Buff-Ivory Semi Matte.  The samples do not come in a container you can effectively swirl them in, so I use a lid from a jar of maybelline loose powder.  The samples do come in sifter containers, so you can just tap some into a lid, small bowl, or plate to allow yourself room to swirl.  I'm still using the kabuki from the Ulta Minerals set, I need to buy a decent one, because this one sheds like mad.

Next is concealer.  I use a concealer brush to apply multi-intensive to my under eye circles, the redness around my nose, and any other discolorations/blemishes/flaws.  I've really got to get some better lighting, I always have shadows on my right side because my lighting is coming from my left :-P

Now let's apply some finishing powder.  I'm still using the Ulta Minerals finishing powder because I forgot to order some from Everyday minerals, but as long as it's good quality, they all do pretty much the same thing.  I am going to order some from Everyday Minerals the next time I place an order though.  I don't have two pics of applying, so you get two of me after instead.

Now since I bought the Everyday Minerals brow powder, let's go ahead and apply that because I hate how I look without my eyebrows filled in.  I'm using their medium brown.  I'm also going to sweep a little bit of blush on.  In my sample kit, I got Fresh Air in matte, because I am not much of a blush wearer.  It looks kind of peachy in color, and you can barely even tell I've put any on, and that's the way I like it.

So there we have it, I am in love with my new makeup.   Obviously you could spruce it up a little with some mascara and lip gloss, then you'd be ready to go.  I left it here so I could apply some more dramatic makeup, which you'll see in my next article.  I always apply my mascara after my shadow, so I don't end up with powder in my lashes.

But anyways, I'm done with liquid foundation, and this time my skin doesn't itch!  Check out Everyday Minerals to get your free samples if you haven't already.

Nice to find another Everyday Mineral fan. I LOVE their products , especially the blushes and the balms. 9along with the eye shadows). Every time I wear EM I get a ton of compliments which I hav e never ever received before on my make up. If you're looking for a good mineral mascara along with more mineral make up try Signature Minerals. Also get their primer and toner for a really perfect look.
